The structures that comprise a steel mill are fantastic in size and shape. From the road it appears an endless series of connection metal tubes, blocks,cylinders, tanks, smokestacks and catwalks. How it all works is a mystery. Our mills are old and rusty. At night they shoot hot flames into the sky and we know that they're producing and the local economy is good - at least for now.Thursday, October 16, 2008
