Mr October

Maybe in years to come I'll be known as the Scarecrow painter? I painted this 8x10 for my second submission to an online art competition hosted on Facebook,"The First Annual Autumn Arts Painting Challenge and Competition".
One more to go... I have it partially done and today's cold rainy weather makes it a great time to stay in and paint.

I love this one! It beats Mr. September by a mile. Your cold weather has now migrated down south but no drizzle for us today.

I love scarecrows. I'm seeing them as rather happy fellows these days. I've always imagined them as somewhat sinister, with the exception of the scarecrow on the Wizard of Oz, that is! Nicely done, Kathleen!

Scarecrows really are folk art. I love seeing all the imaginative things people make and put in their yards and fields.
