Channeling Sydney Laurence

With the return of the artic cold and blowing snow my thoughts turned to the great landscape painter Sydney Laurence.

Laurence painted Alaska and studying his work is a great way to learn how to paint snow.

This piece is based on his painting Wet Weather in Juneau.
Mine is 5x7" on ampersand board.
