I take photos. Lots and lots of photos. A photo a day. A photo for painting reference. So when I heard of this photography show in Maryland that features Smartphone photos I knew it was meant for me. Here are two of the photos I submitted-

I wish I could make the trip tomorrow night to the opening. Here are the details:

Friday, March 14, 6-9pm Annmarie Sculpture Garden
Featured Exhibit: Insta-Artist
Featured Exhibit: Color & Light Society Exhibit
Appetizers by: Giant, China Harbor, Hardesty Haven Catering, Ann Preston, and the Color & Light Society
Live Music by: Justin Crandle
In the Main Gallery, Inspired by the smart phone, the explosion of social sharing websites, and photo-editing applications – Insta-Artist invites smart phone users to submit their best photos taken by a cell phone and edited through Instagram or any other phone photo-editing app. The jury seeks an array of photographs that are both visually stunning and representative of everyday life. The goal is to bring together a compelling collection of digital snapshots that showcases each artist’s unique perspective of the world around us.
