W.P.A.
Color me thrilled! I have been accepted in the Whiskey Painters of America. This small group - 150 members only - was formed over 50 years ago.
""A genuine Whiskey Painting consists of painting a miniature piece of art no larger than 4 X 5" with watercolor by dipping your brush in some form of alcoholic spirits,.... then possibly sipping the alcohol, thereby enhancing the painting experience.

The website includes a piece from every member. Look in the gallery to see work by John Pike, Marc Moon, Don Stone,LeRoy Cross, and jack Mulhollen. I am proud to say I was sponsored by Mr Hilary Sheeter and I will participate in the annual show next month.
