Knife and Day

Hudson Clocktower

This was done with palette knife on canvas. Looking at the image on the screen the tower looks a bit out of whack... something I didnt 'see' with the naked eye. I'll fix that!  I'm getting ready for the annual June Days Art Show this month in Hudson an decided t odo some local scenes.

Not sure what the tower is, but I sure like the painting techniques you've used here, Kathleen. It is so lovely and reminds me a bit of Julie Hill's watercolor works!

The tower has a clock on each side. It was a gift to the town by a local merchant. it originally had a horse watering trough at the bottom and a smaller one for dogs.
I'll have to look up Julie Hills work!
