Woodland Scene

I painted this scene this evening on 18 x 24 canvas. I'm still playing with painting the texture of tree bark. I painted very fast using only a one inch flat brush. I experimented with using the sharp edge and then the flat of the bristles. I tried horizontal strokes and vertical, trying to be decisive and sure with each. I'm pleased with the result and will probably not tinker with it much more. But I think I can get a better photograph of it
