A Year Long Committment

A Year in Photos

On the first day of Summer 2013 I thought it would be fun to post a photo on Facebook every day of the season. And on the first day of Autumn I thought, "Why not keep going?". A daily photo was a daily habit and I came to look forward to taking a good picture for the day. I found it a worthwhile exercise in composition, contrast and  picking good subject matter.
Autumn became Winter and then it was a given that I must finish the year. I have two more days left till Summer begins again. And a visual memory of a year in my life.

Seaside Art Show

Every year I look forward to this miniature show in Nags Head North Carolina. This year I submitted paintings on ampersand cradled panels. The Seaside Art Gallery has been hosting this event for 23 years and entries are received from around the world

Here are two of my paintings from the exhibit.

Whiskey Painters Show

The painting part was fun! The matting and framing, not so much. But I have eight pieces ready for the show which opens April 5th at the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center. Here's a peak-
The frame is 8x10". In the upper corner you can see the little, tin engraved paint box that is given to each new member.
