Day 7 a Painting a Day

"Ohio barn"

8x8"

This is based on a photo I took near Bellevue Ohio last Fall. It's painted in acrylics on canvas.

Day 6 A Painting a Day

 " First Snows"

6x8"

$50.00

This is a soft, calm winter day. The scene is my yard and the hay bales were left over after a late autumn grass planting effort. I painted this on board, in acrylics and its my day 6 entry in the Painting a Day challenge.

Day 5 A Painting A Day

"On the Third Day of Summer"

4x6"

I love these tall, spikey flowers called loosestrife. They bloom early in the summer and I have them planted around my patio.  POR.

Day 4 - A Painting a Day

                                                                       "Casey"

                                                                          5x7

On this fourth day of the January painting a day challenge I chose to do a portrait of Casey.

Casey is 13 years old and a Bichon, Cocker Spaniel mix and clearly the best dog ever. Here she is relaxing in her bed with her red heart shaped pillow.

Painted in acrylics on ampersand board. $60.00

Day 3 A Painting a Day

For today's painting I used a reference from my summer photos. I painted with a palette knife on a 3x3" gallery wrapped canvas. $30.

On a cold winery day it's nice to remember summer breezes.

A Painting a Day - Day 2

"The Peninsula Station"

acrylic on stretched canvas  2.5 x 3.5"

Based on the Fall Photo of the Day #85 posted on Facebook  this seemed like the perfect scene for a snowy day like we are having this Thursday morning January 2, 2014.

A Painting a Day

"Barlow Path"
8x10 on canvas panel
All through the month of January I am participating in a painter's challenge - to paint a new painting every day of the month. These will be based on my series of 'photo a Day' which are a daily addition on Facebook. This painting is based on a photo I took in the Fall at Barlow Community Center park.
The painting is $75.00
